On Oct. 1st, 2012 I left Charlotte, NC on a cross country journey to Portland, OR. I ended up in Champaign, IL and I love it! I'm looking forward to meeting more of my fellow bloggers, photographers, and artist to learn all I can about the creative life. I mostly post photos, videos, and blog entries about my experiences. Recently I have begun geeking out on glitch art and making my own animated gifs. I love feedback, and I feel that creativity flows much more freely in large numbers. If you would like to contact me directly for any reason just email me at email@example.com. Thank you and happy creating to you all!
Here is another effort in my audio recordings of Z’s wonderful writings. Please click on the title to see the actual words!
Also be warned, the first silly blurb is just me trying to get my frustrations out for the obnoxious background noise I have to deal with in the server room. I would have edited it out for this post, but I just couldn’t be buggered.
OK, I hope you guys enjoy and feel free to give advice!
So, I’m sure you guys are aware of the podcast my buddy Shane and I started about a month ago. Well, in that time I’ve started really getting into recording. I’ve been doing a lot of research about recording and looking into what is involved in getting into voice over work. I’ve also been trying to practice getting use to the sound of my own voice and setting the EQ properly. I don’t really have a good place to record, but I’m learning how to run filters and EQs to get the quality close. Anyway, to practice, I have been working with the wonderful and talented Z from here on the Tumblr. She has these amazing writings I would describe as instant fiction here. I’ve been record myself reading them and sending them to here. Z told me I should post them so that’s what I’m doing.
This is the first in the series “EW” by Z
I really want to know what you guys think. What am I doing right? What am I doing wrong? What could I improve on? Is my voice fitting, soothing, grating, or just plain stupid? I love compliments, but please don’t be afraid to criticize, constructively, of course.
Also please check out Z’s writing, it’s really powerful and deserves to be seen!
Thanks again you guys!
