On Oct. 1st, 2012 I left Charlotte, NC on a cross country journey to Portland, OR. I ended up in Champaign, IL and I love it! I'm looking forward to meeting more of my fellow bloggers, photographers, and artist to learn all I can about the creative life. I mostly post photos, videos, and blog entries about my experiences. Recently I have begun geeking out on glitch art and making my own animated gifs. I love feedback, and I feel that creativity flows much more freely in large numbers. If you would like to contact me directly for any reason just email me at rw@thefosterkid.com. Thank you and happy creating to you all!
And here are a few portraits just for fun!
Guest Directed Self Portrait #6 (directed by jscottgrand)
This is my submission for GSDP 6. I don’t know that I really have a filmable dark side, but I do have a few vices that look cool when in the right lighting. I hope you enjoy my little triptic as it was a blast to do!
PS: if you want to embiggin these guys, you’ll have to do a little work. Since this is a series I’ve just linked to the flick set and you will have to click each one individually. Happy Photographing!

The first couple test shots from my new toy. This thing is ridiculous!!!
Guest Directed #3 (Directed by paleskinblueeyes)
I couldn’t get my camera to focus properly for life of me, but in the end I think it’s better that way. The slight out of focus seemed to add an air of fresh out of the hot shower steaminess. I may have had too much fun taking silly pictures of myself mostly naked, and yes I’m totally sucking in my gut! Thanks for the wonderful direction!
for my archives
I had so much fun with Andrea’s Guest Directed Self photo I decided to make one of those animated gif thingies to show you guys! This project is so inspiring, everyone should play!
Everyone should also have a 4th doctor scarf!!!
So, I think I figured this thing out, so here is my submission. I’m so stoked to be on the same page as all these great photographers. Big thanks to Molly for keeping me creative and wanting to pick up my camera again.

More playing with the make up.
Today I went to the apothecary and picked up some liquid bandaids for a cheap cut technique. You just spread some on, let it dry, and then use a toothpick to make the cut and peel up the edges. What do you think?
Alright guys, here is my second attempt at playing with makeup. I tried to go a little further this time and even add a little blood and split lip action. I also tried to use baby powder to make the makeup look less shiny. I think I with make a run to the costume shop this weekend and see if I can’t find some other fun things to play with… any suggestions?
