On Oct. 1st, 2012 I left Charlotte, NC on a cross country journey to Portland, OR. I ended up in Champaign, IL and I love it! I'm looking forward to meeting more of my fellow bloggers, photographers, and artist to learn all I can about the creative life. I mostly post photos, videos, and blog entries about my experiences. Recently I have begun geeking out on glitch art and making my own animated gifs. I love feedback, and I feel that creativity flows much more freely in large numbers. If you would like to contact me directly for any reason just email me at rw@thefosterkid.com. Thank you and happy creating to you all!
What we have here is a basic side-by-side comparison of the olloclip lenses with the built in iPhone camera. (click on photos for description) This thing is pretty amazing! The wide angle has a touch of distortion at the edges, which I actually like. The fisheye does black out the corners, but it’s almost 180 degrees. The macro is just right! I think if you shoot with apps like hipstamatic and instagram the edge distortion and black out won’t even come into play with their native 1x1 crop. I’ve been looking for one of these types of lens kit for iPhone since the 3G and I would totally recommend this little guy to anyone. Best $70 i’ve spent on an accessory in a while. Big thanks and shout out to finchdown for hipping me to this device!
Yay! I got my ōlloclip and my glif+ today. I’m stoked! Prepare yourselves for loads of fisheye, wide angle, and macro shots…. Just sayin’
I really need a shave and a haircut. Any suggestions you guys?

Here’s a look into the new studio. We may be moving out of the garage and into the house, but this is Trainwreck Studios!

My friend fro the coffee shop totally just gave me a fisheye lens adapter. This is totally going to make me want to bye a fisheye lens. I’m not going to have any money for Portland, but at least I’ll have a ton of nifty toys!
