On Oct. 1st, 2012 I left Charlotte, NC on a cross country journey to Portland, OR. I ended up in Champaign, IL and I love it! I'm looking forward to meeting more of my fellow bloggers, photographers, and artist to learn all I can about the creative life. I mostly post photos, videos, and blog entries about my experiences. Recently I have begun geeking out on glitch art and making my own animated gifs. I love feedback, and I feel that creativity flows much more freely in large numbers. If you would like to contact me directly for any reason just email me at rw@thefosterkid.com. Thank you and happy creating to you all!
Diaries From the Road (10.10.12) Red Bank 3 of 3
While wandering around Red Bank checking out the local flavor, I ran across this arcade. I have never seen an arcade of this caliber. You get a wrist band when you go in and all the games are set on free play! You play as long as you want, then pay for your time when you leave. I think it was like $8.75 and hour, which works out to be much cheaper than if you were actually using quarters! They had an amazing selection of games. They even had three living room sections set up with consoles going all the way back to Atari. You could even play board games if you wanted. I just couldn’t get over the genius of this place and I really think every city would benefit from this type of establishment!
